We all have our own favorite liquor or beverage. This might look like I’m starting an argument but don’t get me wrong cause I’m not (I guess), but the best alcoholic drink you could have is WINE!
Yes, beer is fine. You grab a fresh brewed cold beer in your fridge and munch some tacos then chill at sofa or binge watch your favorite series on Netflix. Sounds very chill, but have you ever tried having wine? If not yet, then we cannot be friends. Kidding aside. Here are some arguments (of me) of why is wine better than any other alcoholic drinks.
Yes, you heard it right. Wine is actually full of antioxidants that attack free radicals when they come lurking around. White wine’s the best kind of wine if you really aim to get those antioxidants.
- Boosts immune system
This may sound like I’m describing a vitamin syrup or something but it’s true. Drinking a glass of wine daily can give your immune system a boost. Moderate alcohol consumption can ward off infections and keep your immune system in check.
- Reduces the risk of stroke
Moderate consumption of wine and alcohol in general can prevent blood clotting. Wine acts as a natural blood thinner, breaking up any blood clots that could lead to a stroke. This lower risk of blood clotting is more beneficial to female than males (just a side info).
- Reduces heart disease
The tannins found in red wine in particular, contains procyanidins-phenols which neutralize free radicals that have shown to be effective in preventing cardiovascular disease.
- Improves cognitive function
This one may sound kind of crazy but, drinking a glass of wine is actually like a food for the brain. Drinking a single glass has shown to improve brain functions. The chemicals in red wine prevent the brain’s neurons from drying off.
